An emotional, melancholic (but also surprisingly upbeat) track with strings and synth – with a final section with a subtle 4/4 kick creating a driving energy.
New Library Track: ‘Phoenix’ for Strings
A new arrangement of a work of the same title from 2018 – stripped back to purely chamber strings, creating a more intimate, minimalist rendition. The work is a cyclic series of canons – repeating motifs spread across the instruments, creating wonderful little moments of both tension and release.
New Library Track: ‘Memories of Stone’
Peaceful, bittersweet strings and brass. It reminds me of deep time – exploring the ruins of a lost civilisation. Featuring Hardanger fiddle that evokes a feeling of mournful longing.
