It’s official – I’m now a fully-fledged PhD candidate. My project has been judged, and deemed worthy. Now, I have two more years (maybe 2.5, if I’m lucky) to pull off a cohesive research project, publish my findings, and – if I play my cards right – level up, and earn the right to put Dr. in front my name.
In an attempt to get some more student interest, I developed a short teaser for the UQ course AGRC1040 – Food for a Healthy Planet. Features my script, voice-over, music and animations. Graphics courtesy of freepik.com and flaticon.com.
I just had a moment of absolute star-shock. No, I didn’t randomly encounter a celebrity, but I did run into my MATH1040 lecturer from my first year of my science degree.
So it turns out I’m somewhat OK at this science stuff. This is great and all, but if I want this science stuff to be greater (in relative importance) than my music stuff, a few things have to change around here.
