This is my musical interpretation of Kvothe – the protagonist from Patrick Rothfuss’ best-selling series ‘The Kingkiller Chronicle’, with books like ‘The Name of the Wind’ and ‘The Wise Man’s Fear’.
Little Big Adventure (also known as Relentless) is one of my all-time favourite games. It was perhaps the first game I completed fully as a kid – something I was immensely proud of. The music by Phillippe Vachey is pretty timeless, and I don’t know if I’ve done his theme justice here – but I hope I’ve given this gaming gem a good showing.
And who better to perform it but the man himself – Inon Zur. No strings attached! At least no synth strings… 😉 -s
I’ve been really having a crack at writing with my latest purchase of the EWQL Hollywood Strings Gold, and thus I give you ‘Passage’.
I find myself writing a lot of the same stuff these days – quite slow moving orchestral stuff, inspired by Johann Johannson and the like. Most are fairly meh, but ‘Never Dying’ passed my litmus test. Enjoy!
This is my take on the absolutely amazing Stargate theme, originally composed by David Arnold for the 1994 sci fi classic. An older version of this ‘remix’ was arranged for a feature-length Stargate fan film that never quite made it into existence, which mashed together some elements from Roman mythology into the Stargate universe. Hence, there is some not-so-subtle nods to Holst’s ‘Mars, the Bringer of War’ in here.
