Not necessarily a direct Blade Runner reference, but a nod to the notion of losing memories to time. Subtle, ambient synths and beats mixed with simple piano and strings, with a more driving backend.

Monomyth – The Things That Keep Us Here

Family. Duty. The things that keep us grounded, what keep us from giving up on our hopes, but what also holds us back from stepping across the precipice into the unknown. Ambient, effected piano and synth create a thoughtful, slightly melancholy atmosphere. Part of the ‘Monomyth’ album project.
Monomyth – The Vision

Unearthing knowledge of what truly lies in the unknown is breathtaking, but also terrifying – a realisation of what must be done. Wavering ambient synth and strings morph into a realised version of the Monomyth main theme on solo cello, ending with a quiet, serene theme, reflecting a greater understanding of the universe. Part of the ‘Monomyth’ album project.
Monomyth – The Exodus

Leaving your home in pursuit of the unknown is harrowing, and painful. But it is also empowering. Melancholy strings build with synths and percussion, driving ever higher until the protagonist crosses the precipice – a first flight into the unknown. Part of the ‘Monomyth’ album project.
Petrichor

Ambient, wafting synth pads and distorted leads set the scene for some humble, soft piano — giving way to a luxurious swell of warm synth tones at the height of the track. Just like the smell of soil after summer rain.
Nightfall

A dark, atmospheric hybrid track melding solo strings and piano with strong rhythmic electronic synths and pads, building up to a dramatic back-end.
She Moved Mountains

Very simple ambient piano, focusing on the space between notes. Subtle strings and synths fill out the space. This was a musical response to the passing of someone I knew.
Computations in a Snowstorm

Ambient electronics, strings and solo cello, melding into an amorphous tonal explorational soundscape. I’ve also included a ‘No Cello’ mix, which transforms the track into atmospheric underscore.
Intervention

Darker ambient piano – subtle thriller vibes, with a simpler piano theme which should hopefully work well as underscore. Also included is a ‘no melody’ alternative mix.
Snowfall

A heartfelt reflection of the snowy darkness of Midwinter (at least of what it’s like here in Sweden!). Simple layered pianos, percussive and sustained strings, and synths.
The Old Ones

An eerie, ambient exploration of abstract string sounds and synths. Perhaps a homage to the Old Ones of the Lovecraft’s Necronomicon, but would be just as home in atmospheric science fiction. Happy Halloween! 😀
Red

A dark, driving orchestra/electronica hybrid track – inspired by the darker futures of visual masterpieces such as Deux Ex and Cyberpunk 2077. However, this track was directly inspired by Kuldar Leement’s inspirational digital artwork, ‘Red’.
Static

A calm, melancholy piano + string cue, with a simple cyclic theme. It’s a twinge of sadness mixed with a bit of optimism – of things lost but new things yet to come. And they’ll come.
Resonance

A dark electronica track, which starts out with a pulsing beat and ambient guitars, but drops into a driving, synth-heavy backend. Inspired by a recent experience with a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine… which makes some incredibly dark industrial music – trust me!
Descent

A dark, atmospheric track from an old album project I never completed. Sinister undertones abound, with ambient vocals and synth, and an effected ethnic wind instrument which adds a mysterious feeling.
A New Year

An optimistic track for 2018 – piano, strings and electronics, sprinkled with some improvisation.
Cobalt
Genesis

A short experiment in making a synth sing! Simple string chords, droning synth and a melodic, singing synth to accompany.
Life Is
Theory of Machines

A bittersweet, emotional string orchestra cue, inspired by the artwork of Kuldar Leement.
