Soil Surgery

My bottle-o-nitrogen, wired up with the probes.

So, for those of you who don’t know, I’m currently working through my honours year in Plant Science at The University of Queensland. I’m a little over halfway through, and with a few months to go, I’m starting a new experimental series – looking for different forms of nitrogen in agricultural soils, using a neat system called microdialysis. These systems are generally used in fields of research unrelated to plants and soil – namely animal physiology and neuroscience (as demonstrated by the helpful instruction manual describing the process of inserting probes into rats). Instead of inserting probes into a rat’s brain,...

‘The Knights’ – a football film about character

A small warning – the final theme is actually a Nazi anthem by Horst Wessel, and featured in the original game as the title music. My use here is in no way a glorification of the Nazi regime, but more of a celebration of BJ’s efforts to take it down. But I apologise in advance to anyone who is offended by...

What’s Your Story?

I’ve been lucky enough to be a part of so many projects over the years – whether it be writing specifically for something, or giving out permission to use my music. Since I released my catalogue through Creative Commons, that list has grown considerably, and I love it. My music is starting to reach farther than I anticipated, and it’s because of the wonderful community that has supported me and my music. This trailer for my library celebrates the varied international community that has embraced my music. Thanks guys – I hope to give you a lot more music in...
